Travel: the Art Tour

Most people find tourists annoying. We're always on everyone's way, taking pictures, selfies, crossing the street when we shouldn't, walking too slowly, asking too many questions. The thing is, there are ways to be a less annoying tourist if the place you visit gives you the options to. Bogotá is one of those places.

Bogotá Graffiti Tour is exactly what it sounds like: a walking tour through the city's coolest (sorry for using this word but that's what they are) walls. The tours are lead by graffiti artists who know all the inner workings of the street art scene. In two hours you will learn about the meaning of Bogotá's most iconic walls and you'll be able to take some really artsy pictures (for Instagram, obviously).

The street art scene can be more complex than you imagine; there are rules, established by artists and artist collectives about reserving walls for future murals. As a homeowner you can even commission a graffiti for your wall (which is why I can't wait to have my own house!).

You can find more information about the tour here.
